Prepmum is a 10-year-old maternity concierge company offering comprehensive end-to-end support to expecting and new mums throughout their pregnancy journey and beyond.

Born from a deep passion for helping others, Prepmum is rooted in the founder’s early experiences in the mother and baby care industry and her lifelong commitment to service. Understanding the unique challenges of pregnancy, especially for black women, Prepmum addresses a huge gap with its personalized and wholesome care that uplifts and supports women during this transformative and beautiful journey.
Meet Rachel
Maternity Enthusiast & Founder, Prepmum
Rachel Lawal works in financial services and has always had a strong affinity for numbers, which led her to study finance for her second degree. While at the university, she worked at Mothercare in the United Kingdom, where she discovered her deep passion for baby products and interacting with pregnant women.
Her role at Mothercare allowed her to combine product knowledge with her natural gift and love for assisting and connecting with people. This is the foundation of Prepmum.
Prepmum started to take shape because of the connections she made at Mothercare. Many women, particularly Nigerian women, would come to the store seeking her expertise, and some even referred their friends and family members from Lagos to see her when they visited. These experiences made her realize she could do more with her passion and skills, and that’s how Prepmum was born.
